St. Bartholomew's Diamond Jubilee
The first organizational meeting of the church which was to become St. Bartholomew's, Livermore, was held on May 4, 1953, with the first service being held on May 31, 1953. This makes May 2013 the 60th anniversary of the founding of our church.
However, traditionally we have celebrated our anniversary on the Sunday closest to St. Bartholomew's Day, our 60th birthday bash was therefore held on August 25th, 2013.
This day marked the beginning of our Diamond Jubilee year, celebrating the various organizational events that occurred during our first year of operation in 1953-54; events that are well documented in our parish time-line.
We are celebrating our diamond jubilee year with a series of monthly events from Aug 2013 through July 2014, and a collection of historical articles published monthly in the Full Circle.
Events planned in celebration of our Diamond Jubilee are shown in the table, typically one event per month. For more information about a specific event, click the highlighted link. If there is no link, there are no details available yet, please check back later.
